Status Messages
CongPlan can show short status messages about the service itself — for example a planned maintenance window or a known issue. These are public service messages about CongPlan, loaded from an independent status feed shared by every congregation — not something your own congregation administers.
The Three Severities
- Info — general information worth knowing, nothing urgent.
- Notice — something to be aware of, such as a temporary limitation.
- Maintenance — planned downtime or ongoing maintenance work.
Each message carries a start and end time; CongPlan only shows a message while it is currently active.
Where You See Them
- Banner — while a message is active, a colored banner appears at the top of the app until you dismiss it or its window ends. Choosing Details opens the full list.
- Login screen — a maintenance message also appears on the login screen before you sign in, so it stays visible even if you cannot get into the app yet.
- Full list — open Congregation > General > About this app, then choose View status messages to see every currently active message with its severity and how long it stays valid. On desktop, the version number at the bottom of the sidebar links there directly.
